DATA

THE PROS:

All Moxhi bags are handcrafted by Leonardo and Cecilia in El Palomar, Argentina. Leonardo and Cecilia, are independent entrepreneurs that set their own wages and work hours and do not have production quotas.

The leather that the brand uses is organic. The hides come from cows that are humanely raised on a small farm in General Madariaga, Argentina and that graze freely.

At the tanning workshop that Moxhi uses, the leather is treated with soya oil, rough salt and extracts from the quebracho tree, from remnants from a nearby sawmill. After the leather is treated with the vegetal extracts, it is dried with use of the wind and the sun. For this purpose, the building features holes in its walls.

THE CONS:

MOXHI TEAM

“MOXHI was never intended to be one of the big fashion brands, but always has been personal and small-scale (as products made by hand and with passion almost necessarily are). We all care about the environment and dislike excessive consumerism.”
